Default Powerdyne Supercharger ?'s

Help! I want to supercharge my 95 Mustang GT but don't know what I will need to accomplish the tasks. I have found a Powerdyne unit (brand new) on ebay for a good price. Is Powerdyne a good way to go? I need to know what to expect from the installation of this unit, such as: what do I need to ensure this unit comes with and what kind of installation headaches can I expect. I have already added a Hypertech chip, underdrive pulleys, MSD 6A ignition, and 65 mm throttle body. What else is recommended for a supercharger install? I am stationed overseas in the US Navy and don't have access any over the counter parts retailers. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

you will need a bigger fuel pump and injectors. i dont know much about s/c's but ive heard people say they had bad experiences with powerdyne. if you could find one around your price range i would go with vortech or procharger.

I have a powerdyne and the only problem I have with it is it's not loud enough! but thats the way there made. I ahve had no problems with mine, but there are many people who has had problems and supposelvy they have bad customer service....Honeslty go with vortech or sumthing intercooled, or jus save your money and go with a turbo kit....

yea your best going with vortech, I believe the kits on ebay are like 2 grand for a good vortech kit, and if its your first install, Id get it brand new with everything and complete instruction, that way you installation will go smooth.you will need stuff like new belts probally some misc bolts etc. its not hard. you also need a FMu and probally a good tune after the install, its a good idea to get bigger injectors and Fuel pressure reg.

Yea, its def a good idea to upgrade your injectors & fuel pump Also, how much psi do you want this kit to put out ??? I wouldnt go with a Powerdyne. A nice ProCharger might be out of your price range though but if you have the extra money I would go with almost anything over a powerdyne. Not bashing them at all but from just what I hear I would go another route.

If you get the Powerdyne 6lb blower you do not need a bigger fuel pump. Our stock 110 lph is fine.
It also comes with a fuel pressuer regulator, so the stock 19 lb injectors are adequate.
As far as problems, I have many 1000's of miles on mine and no issues with it.

I think people kinda hate on the Powerdyne cause its old school....but I think if you can find one for a decent price than go for it....although you could find a used P1SC kit from procharger for probably 2 grand! Which is def. a better kit!

Thanks for all the info. I see a lot of mixed replies and really don't know which kit is better. I was going to get the 6lb kit and keep it simple. Again, being stationed overseas I don't have access to any good mechanics or speed shops. I will have to flip a coin on this issue to decide whether or not I want to spend the money. The Powerdyne kit was my choice since it was well in my price range. Thanks for everybody's time.
