RE: Which 331 stroker kit

they have fixed the oil issues with the 347...wish i knew that before i got my 331...like 20 more hp on average...every set up is different...but the one "myth" about the 331 lasting longer can be true...all depends on how good the build/parts were and how the engine was run...the 347 pistions do have to move more b/c of the longer stroke.

probe is ok, i have ordered 2 stroker kits from them.
i had to send one kit back because i didnt specify, 1 piece rear main,( i think they are all 2 piece, then they cut them down) anyway.....
i could have got my machinist to cut it down but i sent it back to them just for insurance reasons.
i had the crank back within 2 weeks.
i wouldnt be scared to buy from probe.

probe cranks do not dictate 1 or 2 piece rear mains anymore, the blocks is what dictate, they will accept either rear main.

Check out F-P-S.com (Ford Performance Solutions). I am building my 418 with them within the next couple months. Check them out and if you can talk to Troy. Hes a great guy and he can help you out with any kind of build that you want and he will put you in the right direction towards what you are looking for. Good luck!
What he said! We've done two stroker kits from F-P-S and we've dealt with Troy both times. Just my opinion that you get more for your money with Troy than competitors. If you can afford it, you should think about going with a 4340 steel crank instead of the cast crank and H-beam rods (or an I-beam upgrade rod. I-beams are lighter). F-P-S almost always uses Ross Pistons which will make you any configuration andcompression ratio you want.
