Default Problems with equal length headers.

I've got equal length headers on my car. Not sure of what kind they are because they were on it when I bought it. The problem is that they are burning my plug wires. Anyway that I can stop this without wrapping the headers. I've got the little heat sleeves over the plugs but it still gets hot enough to melt them. Any help would be appreciated.

use spark plug wire clips or zip tie them up so thats they dont touch and use angled plug boots

That's just the thing. There not touching the headers. There real close but not touching. I've already got the angled boots also. Thanks for the suggestion.

I know my job sell these little heat shields that you put in between the header and plug.

Maybe you are running lean or you timing is retarded too far and the exhaust is getting hotter than normal causing it to melt the wires. Or, maybe you have crappy wires? What kind are they?

dont wrap your headers!!!! you can get yourself some MSD super conductor wires you can bend the plug ends if you need too and also get yourself some boot protectors to save them from heat
