Power Steering Pump

I've replaced mine 3 times in my car and I need a new one again. And I've only driven my car 4000 miles since I got it. If you run your car to redline it frys the pump, I've been thinking of just by passing mine. These pumps are really worthless.
Also if you are going to replace it get a reman. one that comes with a life time warrenty. I did this and have only had to pay for it once. I got mine from advanced auto. Also you need a special tool to pull the pulley off. If you use a regular puller you will bend the pulley and the belt won't line up right.

But ALL FORDS power steering pumps are VERY loud and obnoxious. I would go with a reman from Auto Zone or Advanced Auto (or any other local parts store) and get a lifetime warranty and than you wont have to deal with paying for it over and over again but If it were me I would just toss it. Better handling, more control, less weight, better looks, etc.
