Rubbing on the control arm is limiting your turning radius. Because fox bodies aren't made for 5-lugs. You either have to get skinny front tires or get tubular control arms. Strut rubbing? No idea... get in there and look. I'm running 275 wide tires in the rear and 255 tires up front. No strut rub at all. Whoever did the 5-lug used the wrong parts it seems. Im using 275/40/R17 in back and 255/40/R17 up front.

the centerr cap is not in all the way,it sticks out a bit...That means I have the lincoln setup...Or the center cap dont fit period.....I am running 235/55/17...if I change tires can I put back without the front spacers...Or I still have to use spacers...Some one here said to use 245-45-17 in all 4 corners...Question is do I have the wrong rims period.....do I have to buy diffrent rims,I dont want to use spacers at all...maybe the rims I have r tghe wrong offset....who can direct me in the right direction...I dont want to experuiment on buying the wrong size tires to find out they r wrong...I really appreciate all the help I can get ....

Take a pic of the suspension and spindle. No other way to tell what you have. Those rims fit on the mustang they came off of... which uses the same spindle that most people do the conversion with.

Like I said, the control arms on fox bodies are not meant for larger wheels and that is why you can't turn the steering wheel all the way to the locks.

I'm running wider tires than you are.

Actually, now that I think about it, with those center caps and your fitment issues they "could" be from an 05+ Mustang which would pull them inward even more.

Tony, can you tell that they are for sn style specifically?

Also, I wasn't necessarily saying go out and buy tires. I was just pointing out that the 255/55 is taller than what everyone uses on fox's. The side wall on the 255/55 is 30mm taller than 245/45 (typically used on the front with 17" wheels), which is over all about an inch and an eighth taller ( which that shouldn't effect any of your issues there.)

And actually I was awfully tired when I made that post and it was slightly incorrect. It should of said a 245 is going to be almost 1/2" narrower than a 255 which could possibly help with rubbing on the dust cover. However, if that's the lincoln set up and those are 05+ wheels, just getting the proper offset could help you there. If they are 05+ wheel's I'd recommend swapping out the spindles to 96+ as they're suppose to stick out further than the 94-95 which would help your offset. This is all just if statements though.

Poster said they were Bullit wheels. I think they only did the Bullit package on new edge stangs, not s197's. Aside from terminators and the new coyotes, i have not cared enough about 94+ mustangs to ever do research. I may be wrong.

Regardless... my wheels are wider than his are... the struts are angled in, not out. So a taller tire sidewall would not affect rubbing on the strut dust cover. His issues are related to rim backspacing/wrong spindle. Newer sn-95 spindles had the ABS spacer.. that could only help prevent strut rubbing. However, with my wider tires and NO ABS spacer(I have the 93-95 cobra spindles) I have no issues.

Simple with the right parts. You disable the ratcheting mechanism in the parking brake lever and weld the ratchet and pawl together to make it one piece. Change the short cable going to the equalizer with one that has a threaded rod on it. Drill out the center hole on the equalizer to accomodate the threaded rod. Get the proper parking brake cables from Ford. Pics for your reference.

That centercap, will it push in or is it being held out by something? With the lincoln rotors the centercap's won't fit. If it has the sn95 stuff the center cap will fit. (with the bullitts)

I think the offset is wrong..I am thinking calling tirerack and buying new rims and tires...torq trust m wheels with the right offset...I think that should solve problem...17/8 front 17/9 rear...I just dont know tire size I need to get....thanks guys...this has been a super help..I hope I am making the right decision ....
