Default 95 gt worth the investment?

I have a friend who wants to sell me his 95 v6 convertible. It has a 5.0 bolted in but the wiring is cut everywhere. He also has no information on the donor car other than it having 40,000 miles on the odometer. Custom paint and roush 18's. automatic. Worth buying for $2000?

How bad is the wiring cut? Do you think that if you put in some time you would be able to clean it up? Does the car run nice? Any frame damage? If you think you can fix the wiring and there is no frame damage $2000 sounds like a good deal.

the wiring would have to be redone compeletely as far as i can tell. The guy who put the engine in cut everything that was in his way. there's no frame damage and it ran alright before he swapped motors. I have known him for years and i have been around the car along time but i guess the biggest question is how hard is it to wire. I have enough electrical experience to follow a schematic, i just want to know what kind of commitment i would be getting into.

Well I have never personally done one but it sounds like you'll have to do a full wiring harness. And I know that, that job is a nightmare for any technician that gets it. I don't think becuase it's hard just because it takes soooo long. I think you'll even need to behind the dash. Is that something you can do? Also you said the car ran fine before the swap. What about now, with this motor?

It doesnt run with this motor yet. As far as I know it can't run without the wiring, right? Regardless, it's just bolted in. No fluids or anything. I also know that all of the wiring is cut at the firewall so i'm assuming i can splice the harness at the firewall?

Oh!!!!!!! I thought that it was in the car and running. Oh man I don't know. It's cut at the firewall? Do you have access to reach all of the wiring harness that is in the engine bay?

Then you might need to just do the engine harness like Low said. I honestly don't really know that much about wiring.
