Autometer Speedo problems??!?!?!?!?!?

Hey all, I bought a New 5in Speedo from Autometer (it is mechanical) But there is no way to attach the original speedo cable to the back of it. My car is a 1987 x-4banger. The speedo cable i have is a clip on, and the autometer requires a thread style cable. Anyone had this problem before if so HELP hahaha
