Default MAC Equal Length Headers Installation

I am installing new MAC Equal Length headers this weekend. Is there anything different I need to keep in mind with these aftermarket style headers? (IE) I know that the MAC equal lengths are a greatly different shape than stock headers, so does anything change?

You might need to jack up the motor. For my equals I didn't need to, but I'm not sure about SN95s. It will probably get frustrating but take your time don't rush. There are plenty of threads on here regarding header installs, try the search button Good luck.

Yeah, get the motor off the mounts if you can. Lifting it up an inch or 2 will keep your hand from becoming claws by the end of the day.
Soak the supplied gaskets in warm water for about 30-60 minutes before you install them. This will help them seal better after you torque them down.
If I had to do it all over again, I'd find some Allen-head bolts because in most cases you can't get a socket over the stock bolts because the pipes are so much wider.
The hardest part for me was hooking up the smaller exaust return pipe that goes to the EGR valve. I had to fab up my own because the OEM pipe was too short now.
If you have to do this you will have to flare the ends of the fabbed pipe to seal it... and get the bends right.

Get some PB Blaster rust breaker and spray all you bolts the night before, especially the old header bolts... you do not want to snap them.
The stock header on our car is not too shabby, but these really open it up!
Good luck and take you time... plan on a full day.
