Anyone have any bad experiences with KenneBell?

Looks like best supercharger out there for a street 5.0.

Any comments before I drop $4k on one would be great.

Thanks!

That's an opinion not everyone is going to agree with. I am personally not a fan of KBs on 5.0s. To me there are better ways to spend $4k.

i've heard from several people that they are one of the best superchargers for 5.0s, they make quite a bit of power. A guy i know has a 90 5.0 making over 600hp with a KB and he ran a 10.36 on street slicks.

Don't get me wrong. I think they are good superchargers. I just think I can make more power for less money with a centrifugal. I also make a >600rwhp on a 91 5.0 with a $2600 supercharger.

The big deal on the Kennebell's is that they are TwinScrew and not Centrif. style blowers
They make full boast at 2,000rmp not 6,000 rmp
Instant boost is a big deal in my book and worth some extra dollars

I have a 25.1C chassis car and have traction issues at all rpm on the street. I don't want full boost at 2k rpm. I want it to build as traction is available. Instant torque and useable torque are 2 different things.

Still imagine lighting up the tires on demand, I bow to the kenne its just a better blower in my opinion either way! But centi's are better for the strip, and dollar for dollar and make more hp by far!

I dont personally have one (yet) but i drove my buddy's 96 Cobra with a KB and I love what it did for the powerband in his car. I know its not a 5.0 but it really gave it a TON of tq in the lower RPM and the HP is still increasing past 7 grand on the tach. I love the instant boost it had, we had 3 people in the car when i first drove it and it was insane... Along with that he had 4.30 gears and nitto drag radials and with minor suspenion it planted the power fine. Im pretty much sold on them )
