ok im running ported heads at 10:1 and my cam is 216 224 and 533 544 and a 114ls, with this combo make alot of pinging, and what kinda gas could i run

 

With that kind of compression you probably should be running 93 octane. But ask arround I could be wrong.

 

that compression isnt that high really, its not what i would want for a blower or anything,
mach 1's come w/ 10:1, it depends how much timing your going to run

 

yeah 10:1 ratio is a normal ratio for NA cars. You shouldnt have any problems with pinging as long as you have enough fuel to feed the engine and not to much timing

 

^^^ Agree its a normal compression ratio should be fine with pump gas no doubt.
I would definatley check the timing sounds like to high.

 

I am running 10.1 compression and i use 89 octane runs just fine.
never tried 93

 

did you notice a power diff going from 9:1 to 10:1 my motor, have you raced your car yet??

 

my car is not tuned yet but it still runs better than before so I got's to say yes.but not to much.
maybe ill try some 93 octane soon because that's what I should be using. don't you think??
