I popped a rod through the side of my 89 coups block ( not repairable). I have a block from a 1990 F-150.</P>


Can I use this block as my replacement?</P>

should be same block, i would check all tolorances though, bore,deck ect...

Yeah you can but im not sure if it will be a roller block.I belive the trucks got the roller block later 90's.

i belive your right , also check to be sure the piston relifs are the same by some chance if your just swapping out the shortblock, i would def do a clay check just to be sure . <IMG src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0"></P>

Now that Ican use this blockI figured I woulddo a good build on the bottom end.</P>


My car is no longer fuel injected (came like that ).</P>


Iamthink I would go to a higher compression ( say 12-1 or 13-1)I have a set of edelbrock RPMII heads and a victor Jr intake.</P>


I don't want to go full roller cam ( too much upkeep) The cam I have been looking at is the B303.</P>


Just want to know if any of you guys think I maybe going in the wrong direction.</P>
