Default timing? help

ok well i have a timing gun now just need some advice on how to do it lol i have a basic understanding of how to do it i just want to make sure that im doing it right any advice would be great thanks

you want to first mark on the harmonic balancer the degree you want to set the timing. then with the key off unplug the little pill from the distributor harness. next start the car and let it get to full operating temp. hook the light up and point the light down the passanger side toward the harmonic balancer and try to find you mark . loosen the distributor and adjust it till the pointer and mark line up


btw you wanna make your mark on the btdc side of the harmonic balancer
