I got a 91 LX 5.0, when my car starts up its idles fine, then sometimes it idles low and it feels like its going to stall, then it would go back to normal after driving then it would do it again, wat should i check and do, the check engine light came on when it was idling low

take it to autozone and run a scan on her, it cold be an idle air control sensor

check your TPS(throttle position sensor) and your IAC(idle air control) valve. the iac could be dirty making it stick..........or the tps could be set too high or too low. those would be my first 2 suggestions.

id still take it to autozone or advance, or somewhere that they do free engine scans for codes. itll give you an idea of what it is. im guessing its your iac........

that wouldnt throw a check engine light.

Edit: at least im pretty sure it wouldnt

ill clean it out tomorrow with carb cleaner and spray electrical cleaner in the socket and see wat happends

as far as i know autozone only does OBD2 cars. but go to autozone and buy a scanner for your 91. costs 35 bux. or pepboys will check your computer for codes for about 20 bux.
