Default 4AOD vs. AOD????????

is it the same tranmission.

if you have good eyes, you can read the shift pattern on this gearbox. if you can't ill read it for you...
in order, it goes 1-2-D-OD-N-R-P

that is a 93 LX 4 cylinder. did the non-5.0's come with this special transmission?

the owner notes it is a "4AOD" transmission.

let me know if anyone has info on this

That is an A4LD. Basically meaning, automatic, 4speed, light duty.

SO 5.0 cars should have an AOD, and A4LD will not bolt up.

god damnit

is there an aftermarket kit or something that lets you setup a shift pattern like that for the AOD?

ford is so stupid why would they make a 1st gear option and no 2nd gear for the AOD?

quick research, the A4LD was never used in the mustang.
