engine vibration 3000 rpm up...

Default engine vibration 3000 rpm up...

92 5.0 with edelbrock heads, trickflow stage 1 cam ,spec stage 2 clutch and tremec 3550 trans........where should i check first to fix vibration??? thanx guys..

Check your driveshaft. see if it looks like this one If so you might need to replace it due to it knocking your harmonics out ot balance.

Don't hold me to that. It is just one of the easier things to do. Is that the stock trannie? doubt it. If your drive shaft has that same round balancer up near the yoke it will cause it to vibrate because it's no longer in balabnce with the other parts it hooks to.


Then again it could be as simple as an unbalanced tire. Need I go on?

Harmonic balancer could be bad. Check to see that it is still together, and hasn't slung apart.

my car has a ford motorsport drive shaft, and a tremec 3550 tranny. what is a really good balancer that is possibly reasonably priced. i bought a cheap one last fall and don't remember how it ran before installing due to being parked all winter.the engine doesnot seem to vibrate when parked with engine revving.......thank you for the input...
