Default buying a 5.0

i am lookin at a 5.0 on ebay... 1993 lx hatch.
Vehicle Description
Black 1993 Mustang LX 5.0, 5 speed hatchback.206kmostly highway miles. Does not smoke or burn oil. Steeda 5 link II suspension & outer tie rods. Kenny Brown sub-frame connectors, G-load brace and strut-tower brace, Bilstein shocks, Koni struts, BBK caster-camber plates, Energy suspension bushings throughout as well as motor and trans mounts. Ford Motorsport aluminum driveshaft, lower heavy duty A-arms, carrier w/3.73 gears & 31 spline axels, Cervini 2 1/2" cowl hood, Hurst shifter, Mac headers & cat-back, Bassani x-pipe w/ cats. Just tuned up and passed NJ inspection in May.

i am from NJ, so its nice to have a fresh inspection sticker and the pics look good and clean, just a little dirty under the hood.

the auction was started at 2000 (currently with 0 bids and 5 days remaining) with a buy it now at 3200.

what im concerned with is the mileage, should i be?

i also sent the selled quite a few questions to see if all the electronics work, if the air works and converted to r134, any rust, etc.

my 5.0 has 167xxx and its the hell beaten outta it from the last owners...still runs like a champ tho.
i hear people say that 5.0's usually last to about 250xxx. so if u plan on doing a rebuild or building it up by then the mileage shouldnt be too much of a concern.
check and make sure theres no rust and how's the body?

update, talked to the guy and he said the paint is starting to bubble a little on part of the hatch, but thats it as far as any signs of rust.... if we work a deal out, the first thing i am going to do it going to get the tranny rebuilt... he said it sometimes gets hung up in 2nd - 3rd... but he said the motor runs strong, does not burn or leak any oil, starts right up and just pass nj inspection.

it has front seats from a 94 gt and, as you can see in the orig post, a LOT of suspension and rear end work...

if all works out well, i am going to take a look monday evening...

if i did decide to rebuild the motor, where would you guys suggest i get a rebuild kit from? rebuilding the bottom end would be most important? then as i get more money, do the heads and mani? or would you suggest somthing else? not lookin for anything crazy, if price allowed, i would probably go forged for durability and power handling...

thanks guys
rj

i understand 200,000 is a lot, but i have searched up and down and for this price point, i can not find anything else in this condition within like 100 miles of me... i know having a stricter budget is tuff to work with but i have looked at other cars for this price point and they may of had 40-50k less miles but they were beat up... have rust... just didnt look like they were cared for all that much.

if you guys have any suggestions, im open ears...

too much cash, no more then 2k. you have to assume he beats the hell out of it seeing his trans is messed up and the little bolt ons. 200k+ miles is gonna need a rebuild pretty quick
