RE: 95 cobra
The 94 / 95 Cobras are actually pretty decent cars. You get the benefits of a cobra with the (what I think is a) nicer interior of an SN95. Plus you get the benefits of the SN95 as far as larger MAF, alternator, electric fan, brakes, etc.
As far as mods go... just think of it as you would any other 5.0, only with a beter top end. Anything you can do to a regular GT you can do to the Cobra (for the most part)

RE: 95 cobra
Just noticed that you were coming from a V6 so you probably don't know what to add for mods, lol. For "cheap" starters, run permium gas and advance the timing a few degrees. Full exhaust (headers, nice midpipe, catbacks) will help with performance and sound. For a mod that you can feel, adding 3.73s or 4.10s in the rear end will help with acceleration. Don't forget the importance of suspension. At least get upper / lower cotnrol arms and maybe some subframe connectors.
If you want something a bit better, you can get a better top end. Perhaps some AFR heads instead of the GT40s. The Steeda #19 canshaft seems to do well with 94/95 Mustangs. There are a ton of nice intakes on the market. Better fuel pump, injectors, MAF, TB...
To step it up one more level, theres a supercharger, turbocharger, nitrous....
The list is virtualyl endless. There's always something else you could change.

RE: 95 cobra
No real problems that I have ever heard of. OnyxCobra has a 95 Cobra, if you have any other questions that directly relate to the Cobra model, you might shoot him a PM.. Otherwise, I am sure he will chime in shortly.
Good find, have fun with it if you get it. Cobra's FTW!

which has more potential? that or my v6? they want 15k for it but it only has 24k miles on it
i've heard the 3.8 block is great if i were to heavily mod it

Bottom line, there is no replacement for displacement. Sure you can heavily mod a V6. But it is gonig to be more expensive and in the end, if you had put those same mods on a 5.0L, then you would have more power for less money.

RE: 95 cobra
that cobra was barely driven 2k miles a year and u want to buy it and modify it, despite its 15k price tag?
if you have that kind of money just buy a newer mustang.
and ur 3.8 is basicaly a vtec compared to a 5.0
