Default which cam?

I HAVE A 92 STANG. ALL I HAVE IS BOLT ONS. I AM GONNA CAM IT CUZI AM DOIN A MOTOR SWAP. I AM ALSO GONNA DO AN INTAKE AND HEADS. PROLLY JUST SOME GT40P HEADS (IF I CAN FIND SOME) AND A RPM 2 INTAKE (NOT SURE YET THO) BUT I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA N IT NEEDS TO PASS SMOG. IT WILL PASS VISUAL (BUDDIES A TECH) SO IT JUST HAS TO PASS OUT THE TAIL PIPES. I WANT A GOOD ALAROUND CAM FOR THE STRIP. EVENTUALLY IT IS GETTIN A DSS RACING BLOCK AND A TWIN TURBO SET UP, BUT THATS NOT FORA WHILE. N E HAVE N E IDEAS?

With that setup, a steeda 19 or a TFS stage 1 would do well. Even if it's only a strip car, that build isn't much so it doesn't need a huge cam. The Ford alphabet cams aren't bad, but there is a more technology into the newer cams, more power to be gotten out of em. I'm not familiar with the RPM 2, but isn't it too big for a setup like this one? I remember hearing something like that, and am too lazy to research it...

Yeah I agree. I would go with the Trick Flow stage 1 cam, and an edelbrock RPM manifold, or Trick Flow street heat manifold. The RPM II is not necessary with GT40 iron heads as they aren't the greatest flowing heads...

BTW: The GT40P heads do not have provisions for the smog system that comes on our cars, I don't know if it will make you fail the sniffer test, but it can't help.

Yeah, with your set-up and needing to pass the sniffer test I'd stay with E-303 or Trick Flow Stage 1. You could probably get away with B-303 also but I wouldn't risk it.

Definitely other, from what it looks like you havn't spent any time looking at cams other than the FRPP ones, there are unlimited options out there, take a look at crower, comp, crane, etc for different cams that fit your build. Otherwise for the most part people are going to tell you to get the cams they are running.
