25th anniversary...nice choice!!
also check under the driver's seat for cracks in the floorboard...if the car has been ran hard...sometimes the floorboards will crack.

Just go look at it. you wont know if itis a good deal untill then. Just look over it good, like rust, torque boxes, check to see if it has original fenders, if something doesnt look right it probably isnt. Sometimes people need money and it might be a good deal, but sometimes people have problems they cant get right or they have created problems by trying to do something theirselves and those people just want to get rid of their headache.

I paid $2800 for my '92 and it needed new fenders (old ones were rusty)and rust repair in the 1/4's and it had a bunch of dents.
It did run good though.

Id check for poor bodywork/paint, cobbed wiring (can be a nightmare), rust under the car, ripped torque boxes (a weak point on these cars), leaks (most 5.0 rear main seals leak), unusual noises and the rest of the stuff you normally look for when buying a used car.

thanks for the help. I went to look at it today and it seemed great. Much better than what i was expecting. Im going back with a mechanic tomorow. ill probably be able to get it for $2000. The only problem i know of right now is the lock on the driver side is broken. (which is a little suspicious.) It sounded great. There were a couple small spots of rust, but nothing major.

If your talking about power locks, that is not unusual on 18 year old foxbodys. I have an 89 and my pass side lock is froze, luckily it froze with it in the unlocked position. I keep it parked in my shop so im not worried about right now.
