I have 3,73 in a 5-speed but would rather have 4.10's. I doesn't tach too high on the highway either

 

i know 3 people right now that put 411 gears in their aod cars
they all say... man i wished i would have went with 456s
5speed 302 street strip cars, 373s is a good gear
id go with 456s

 

4.56? might want the worlds stickiest tire for that one.....

 

i have 3.55 in my 88 gt with a tko500 tranny(5 speed obviously) its deffinatly enough power but im thinking about going to 3.73s. probly wouldnt be worth it though. im pushing 460 hp and it would make a slight difference im sure but not enough to justify the price(not just in the swap but in gas also)

 

Since you are asking about 3.55:1 or 3.73:1, I suggest 3.73:1.

4.10:1 gears are a bit overkill, if you are still running some stock top-end pieces.

 

I personally say 4.10's all the way, auto or manual. I went with 3.73's on my 5 speed as many recommended and I wish I would have went 4.10's. Even with 3.73's I find myself rarely using 5th gear around town and it doesn't rev high at all on the highway.

 

4.10s or dont even upgrade.
