Default SAME PROBLEM BETTER DESCRIPTION

Ok I Have an 1993 GT Stock Motor w/BBK Cold Air Intake System. When i first start up my car in the morning it runs just fine for the first 5 miles or so, then after it gets good & warm the car starts acting like it's losing complete fire (ignition) in & out really fast so fast that it can be mistaken for a misfire. It does it whether being driven orat idle. It's really noticable when driving oh Yeah U can feel it jerking the car really good also.
P.S. The reason i say ignition cause the RPM needle be bumping around really fast.

Thanx, for taking time to read Open for all suggestions

you said that it was a hairline crack in the distibutor? the distributor or the cap? i am having the same problem, when driving it feels like it misses really hard and the tachdrops all the way to 0 and then pics back up really quickly. and sometimes when i stop the car will stall. i have replaced the ignition module on the distributor and i was going to replace the coil but not if its not going to fix it. thanks for everything, glad to hear that yours is running good, later

Usually I find that having the same exact issue, it's something to do with the Distributor, sometimes the pickup inside the distributor is bad, the ICM (ignition control module) could overheat and fry, and then making sure the MAP and Mass Air are clean and in good shape helps idle condition. Just sharing the advice I got awile back when I fixed mine, and also watch for putting on the heat grease the wrong way, if you fry the ICM your not helping anything.
