Well i dont think you want to do that. The top that i believe you are referring to is the littleholeinside the gas filler pipe. Im pretty sure this whole top section is screwed into the body(inside the gas door cavity) and helps hold the pipe leading to the tank in place. I had to remove all this when dropping my fuel tank to replace pump. BUT, if i am wrong, then im pretty sure its just those 3 screws holding u back.
ya dude you had to of went to a deisel pump... even dc in maryland has normal sized pump nozzles.. thats a big city.. im sure all citys are the came.. id say that was desiel pump lol...
