Default Door conversion phase 1**more picts**

Haven't had much time to work on my car since it got hit but I finally got the new doors hung and the glass adjusted as close as it will allow. Now just have to work out a few wireing details with the driver side and get the proper weather stripping.

Still need to get a new fender.

I see you got the vert doors on, how is the glass sealing?

Yeah finally got a chance to get them put on. As far as the seal goes looks like cars & concepts made a change to the glass angle when they eliminated the window mounted mirrors. Instead of the front being centered in the channel it is actuall closer to the front window frame so with the window up it seals fine along the front edge but angles out to the rear so there is about a 1" gap along the back side. When I get a chance I will get some picts of it on here. The top of the window sloped down at the rear matching the verts roof line luckily there was quite a bit of adjustment there plus I had to add some washers to make a spacer on the bottom of the center guide to make the window sit level across the top. I'm hopeing the t-top weather strip will do the trick I'll need to order that next and experiment. So far I love the frameless look and the later style vert mirrors (that is what is up with the mirrors ZachW04Stang). Have to work out a few things with the door panels there are quite a few differances between the non-power vs. the power window panels other than the hole for the hand cranks. All part of the fun of customizing!

Never noticed that verts had different mirrors. Should look good once the car is painted.

Yeah they changed them either late 88 or with the start of the 89's until then they used the same mirrors as the other mustangs. Thanks will take a while before she gets paint since I don't have to drive it everyday now planning on doing a lot of work on it I wouldn't have been able too other wise.

ok more pictures of the window gap.

First the gap with no adjustment at all.

ok after adjustment.

Inside if you look at the gap between the trim and the tint you can see how much I was able to move it.

Next 2 are showing the differance in the gap front and rear.

Outside view most extreem angle of rear gap.

I disagree I think its cool as ****. I love custom ****, I'm taking it the glass is all the way up. If it is get the welder out and extend the weather strip mount. I think the T-top weatherstrips will help out, the hatch weatherstripisn't made to seal the door glass.
