tailpipe fell off
so i was driving 2 hours to a friends house and then when i was almost there my car suddently got louder. weh ni got there it turns out that the tail pipe from the muffler back got disconnected somehow? not sure how since there's no rust or anything. it's fixable since all i have to do is line it up and weld it but i just thought this was worth mentioning cause it seemed kinda odd to me

RE: tailpipe fell off
haha mine kinda did the same thing once.. but it was where the cat back connected to the hpipe on the passenger side.. i guess i tightened it too much b/c the pipe pulled out of the flange lol all i had to do was push the pipe back through then i took some plyers and bent the flanged part of the pipe out in a few sopts..
a cop pulled up behind me in the parking lot at my school where it happened and when he got out of the car he was like " ur tail pipe it laying on the ground" lol i was like "ya thanx i can see that"

RE: tailpipe fell off
When I had my 6er it had glasspacks on it. One morning I was heading to work and all of a sudden it started sounding even louder and worse than it normally did, and i heard metal hit pavement. On the way back I stopped and found it laying on the side of the road. Lucky it was red I guess.

RE: tailpipe fell off
One of my tailpipes kept getting really loose and I finally found out it was because the flange on the muffler that the pipe goes into was crushed so the tailpipe wasnt going in far enough.
I had a shop spread the flange back out with a pipe expander and its fine now.
