Default conversion question. ET times

ok so i have a couple a of friends that work at a mustang shop and they have all kinds of 5.0's that are all track built. their prized car is a 331 dart block, turbo'd at 23psi and it runs 6's in the quarter. that just seems insanely slow but i never really payed any attention to 1/8 mile tracks but thats all we have close to here.

no what would a 6 in the eighth equivlate to on a 1/4 miles track? they have other 5.0's that run 8's and 7's with full h/c/i and stick tires . what would those times be equivilant to? i just dont like 1/8 mile tracks, im so use to seeing1/4 numbers/times.

I promise you that car is capable of mid/low9's if not high 8's. Any idea on their MPH in the 1/8th.

Good Lord that's what I was wondering... I would be giddy like a school girl with twice that time.

Man I thought my 8.2 was fast in the 1/8th. A 6 in the 1/8th is very impressive.

i had no idea. thats why i was asking. i hear about quarter mile all the time but i only ever see 1/8th so i guess i dont have anything to compare to. so what would a 6 in the 1/8run in the quarter 9's or 10's?

how about a 7.90 in the 1/8 at 84 mph and a 12.63 at 106 mph in the 1/4 ? thats what im running with holley systemax top end and stock bottom end all motor. i just won the street car special event here in louisiana last weekend. my winning pass was a 12.650 on a 12.65 dial in and a .013 light.

It doesn't get any more consistent than that. Good job.
