13.49 or quicker and you need a helmet at my track regardless if you are a vert or not.
Make sure to wear long pants and shoes, my track just started enforcing the rule...

It depends on the tracks, some enforce NHRA rules more strictly than others. 13.99 or quicker requires a helmet, for a convertible some tracks mandatory a helmet or a roll bar, others a helemet regardless. I'm not sure but I think the rule is for a vert then a helmet is required. A roll bar/cage is required in a vert at slower et's than a coupeas well I believe(I think a bar at 13.49). You also have to wear long pants, close toed shoes and at least a t-shirt, no cut-offs/wife-beaters. You also have to have a battery hold down, a radiator catch can, and I think you're not allowed to have any rubberized fuel line in the engine compartment that's longer than 12"? And obviously no fuel leaks, and no oil/coolant leaks(nothing more than a few drops anyway). Carb'd cars are supposed to have dual throttle return springs, but I don't think it's required for EFI. 13.99 or quicker is also supposed to have a driveshaft safety loop, but they may not be concerned about that unless you have sticky tires or are very fast. You also need seat belts, obviously. Also if you go 13.99 or faster you can't have any passengers
yea when i went they wouldnt let me in with shorts on. luckily i was with my friend who lived 5 minutes away. i drove 30 mins 1 way.
