T-top coupes are very rare. 5.0 mustang mag tech editor found one and put a stroker and roll cage in it. Alot of people were writing in and saying that he wasruining a rare car. But to each his own.I just don'tlike the roll bar look in a T-top car it defeats the purpose. I got my T-topLX for 3 grand (guy didn't know what he had). LX t-tops are rare too. Most T-tops you will find will be GT's.A t-top car will be more work too. I spent 4 hours pulling out the driver side t-top weatherstriping. What a pain in the a$$, scraping out all the old sealer and glue. I think I can knock out the passenger side now that I no what to do. Then I can put back in the Blue oval industries weatherstrip kit. No more leaky t-tops FTMFW!!!! I hope to have it all back together this weekend with a new headliner.

 

have fun finding one, lol. they are crazy rare, i have never seen one on the road or for sale only in magazines. if you find one power to you. i would love to have onbe also.

 

A guy that works at my company but a different shop was always talking about this 82 5.0 he has when he came to our shop to help. It was having tranny issues and was sitting at his dads. He said it was a notchback with t-tops. He has no title and says there is one in existence. He lives in Elkton, MD. He might still have it

 

i would settlefor a hatch doesnt matter i just want and 86 and a t top to basiclly restore with a few mods to show and drive with the a/c on so i wont be destroying it too much

 

that would be a long drive for me but price and shape would make my mind up for me lol
