I currently have a 70mm MAF that is going bad/is bad. I know that this is more then enough for what I have right now and I can replace it, but my future plans are to put a 357, possibly stroked to a 393 or 408.

My question is since I need a new MAF now, can I get one that I can run with my current set up now, and then have it work with my future set up? Like going from the 19lb injectors to the possible 30lb or 42lb injectors I will be using. I don't really want to get a tune to make a MAF work now, but if i got one for 19lbers, can I reprogram it later to work with the other sizes?

Basically it comes down to not wanting to buy parts twice. What would be my best option?

 

You can make any MAF work with any injectors as long as you get it tuned. Otherwise you have to get a calibrated MAF. Although I hate the company, C&L meters may be your cheapest option because when you need to get larger injectors, all you have to do is buy a new sample tube.

 

I know I can mak any MAF work with a tune, but I don't want to have to tune it right now. I know a C&L would be my best option right now, but my current MAF is on it's way out, so that means I would have to buy a new MAF also.

What is a good performance MAF that is upgradable?

 

I sell C&L mass airs and you can get it calibrated to 19 and for $30.00 more you can buy a tube that goes inside to recalibrate it to what ever size you need. I would go with an 80mm mass air so it will work for both. www.cundnracing.com Thanks

 

That's what I'm talking about when i say go with w C&L. You're not going to find another "upgradable" MAF. You can change the C&L calibration for $30 - $40. Any other MAF will require a recalibration, which typically costs $100+ if you can ven find a company that will do it for you.

Or are you talking about your MAS itself being on it's way out and needing a new one? if that's the case and you do mean the MAS as well, then just buy a stock one online if you're going to get a C&L meter in the near future. They're extremely cheap on corral and on ebay. I sold my stock 70mm MAF w/ sensor for $30.
