All I’m saying is that it’s no where near the quality of the OEM carpet as advertised at most if not all placesthat sell the ACC carpet.
The carpet is a cut pile poly backed carpet with about a 3/16” jute pad for sound deadening.

I’ve heard that ACC now has a mass back or mass backing (ethylene vinyl acetate 40 ml thick. It adds sound deadening and insulation qualities to the carpet and is available as a special order item at an additional cost on most vehicles[/i]) but that wasn’t offered through 50 resto when I bought my carpet 4 yrs ago.

I bought the Smoke Gray.

Believe me ACC is no where near the quality of the OEM carpet.

Bought the ACC carpet from 50 resto and just reinstalled the OEM, there was that much difference.
Couldn't prove it by me. I bought the same stuff from the same place. Fit great, been very happy w/ it. I went black instead of grey, looks awesome.

LOL thanks. I've owned the car since 94 and have taken good care of it. I think you have me beaten in the engine compartment though. Although it might have something to do w/ you being carbed. Less crap for a carbed set up!

Mine didn't have cut outs, I made my own. Used the old one as a template.
