I had purchased complete weather stripping kit from "late model restoration" and they were perfect fit especially the doors.
But let me warn other people with convertibles. Don'tbuy a convertible top header because they SUCK!

I bought and installed the completeweather stripping kit from50 resto for my 89 GT and as Devil Dog statedeverything fit perfectly.
Yes the fit was perfect but the thickness of the rubber weather stripping 50 resto carries was nowhere near the thickness of the OEM weather stripping.

I have heard other people say that is is the only place that carries the same thickness rubber weather stripping as the OEM and that the fit was great.

All I can say is that the bottom weather stripping underthe door has some deep scuff marks in it where my shoe has glazed across it when either I enter or exit the car, and the hatch still has signs of sunlight coming through it when the hatch is completely closed, and yes it's been to a body shop to have there staff try to adjust the hatch cover for a better closure and fitment on the weather stripping.
And that's the only reason I said it's nowhere the thickness or quality of the OEM weather stripping.

almoststock, should i just say f*ck it, and go to a body shop, swallow my pride, take the hit in my wallet (tough since i'm a broke college kid haha but it needs to be done), and say "i need all new weatherstripping, and i need it as thick as the factory is" and let them go to work?

how much would that run me if i did it through a body shop?
