Default new carpet

I've never replaced carpet in a car before, and it seems easy enough, but I figured I'd ask anyways...any tips on replacing it?? I have a 89 hatch. Thanx :]

When you take your old carpet out, lay it over the new and use it as a template to cut the holes in the new. No guess work.

Default RE: new carpet

i took mine out not too long ago its pretty self explainatory. remove the console and there a little support frame under the dash in front of the console that has 2 bolts that hold it down on the rug just remove those, seats, trim you should be good. i also heard if you order a new carpet its good to lay it out in the sun ford a couple hours before you put it in the car so it relaxes after being in that small box. i ordered a black molded made by ACC one from 50resto.com for 100 bucks and its pretty nice.
