Default Heater core bypass?

So I've determined that my heater core went out, and my car is losing coolant. I really don't care about the heat right now just want the thing to drive without smelling like coolant and overheating, so I was wondering if anyone had any links to a heater core bypass or info on it, thanks.

Default RE: Heater core bypass?

All I did when mine blew was take a short piece of copper pipe, stick it in one hose from the heater core and clamp it and did the same with the other hose- just looping the two hoses together.
It worked fine.

I got mine fixed eventually though.
