its got visible crosshatching, so with 227k what would that indicate? yeah real smooth too

I hope not.. Also how does the cylinder walls feel are they smooth or beat up???

how the hell is this general discussion. headgasket write up is tech! wtf!
i put this here for people who havent done one to read. whatever i geuss.mods need to be more clear on whats tech related and what isnt

+1 on tech. just because it has pictures does not mean it is general discussion.

anyway, nice work, i wish i would have seen this when my headgasket pooped, i might have had the confidence to replace it instead of just getting a fresh crate

This is not a write up! It's you posting pics of you taking the top half of your engine apart. Where's the step by step proceedures telling what needs to be done in sequence? that's what a tech article is. If you'd like to do a propper write up, it can be put into our tech section w/ the rest of them..

All project threads go in the gen dis section. Tech is for specific questions concerning repair problems, diagnostics and so on.

sound s like a question to me. its beyond my tech knowledge, and wanted to know it it might mean my motor has been rebuilt

just did a head swap a couple months ago, i was suprised how clean the engine was inside
