Default TIRES

Gotta a silly question but I'm starting to work on my 90 LX 5.0 project. Anyone know what the standard tire size is that come on these babies. It currently has 255 / 60 R15's and I desperately need to replace them with something inexpensive now to get around in. I will eventually upgrade to 16's but that not in the budget now due to the rest of my project. Anyway, if anyone knows, please post up. Thanks!

OEM size is 225/60-15

You can get a set of 4 for $268 out the door here:

I just ordered from them Monday and got them yesterday. I'm running 225/50-16 up front and 245/50-16 in the rear. Those cost $297 out the door.

255 = wider tire = more traction

atleast thats the thought

I can recommend the BFG Traction T/A, they grip like crazy in dry conditions and do quite well in the rain, I no longer slid around turns

The ones that are on there are garbage...like I said, I'm looking for temporary inexpensive due to me converting to 16's in the near future. Thanks folks. Can you believe I've called 3 places and no one has the 225's or 255's in stock. WTF? Heck, I might take my old '05 tires taken off the rims and put on my '90.....thats an idea.

^^^ He said tires off the wheels... That would work as long as they are 15's.

The Fuzion ZRi are a pretty good tire and fairly cheap. The z is a summer performance tire, and is much stickier than a normal run of the mill tire. If it is cold where you live the z might not work out too good.
