Speeding Tickets?
I was wondering if anyone here could give me any idea how much a speeding ticket will affect your insurance. I didnt get one, but my dad recently got one and we are thinking about swithcing insurance companies. Any input would be greatly apreciated, Thanks.

RE: Speeding Tickets?
depends how fast and where
i got a $200 speeding ticket the 2nd day after i got a letter in the mail sayin my insurance has been reduced since i went a year without an accident or any kind of ticket.
so im not sure how much of an increase i saw since it got reduced anyway but i think im payin $10 more a month than i used to.
that was 78 in a 50
i have no speedometer lol

it should not affect if that much. its when your get your second one in 3 years, then it may start to climb to a painfull price. or if you have an accedent.
one ticket maybe 30 bucks a month. dont quote me because i have one ticket but did not notice any increase. thats more than 300 extra bucks a year, it seems about right.

Might not cost any thing. Depends on how your Ins co audits your account. It cost them $$$ to access the motor vehicle records so they dont check every body. The younger you are the more likely they are to check. If you change Ins cothey WILL check & find out.
