Default Trick flow question

I have a chance to buy a trick flow upper and lower Track heat intakewith A BBK I think 70 or 75mm throttle body for about $350.00 (looks to be in good shape.)But im not a mechanic so I dont know.
Is there anything I can look for on these to make sure im nothing is obviously wrong.Sort of hard to know without them being on the car.
Also will they give my stock89 Lx some pep or will I need something else to go with them.
Thanks

Yea it seems like a good deal thats why I asked if there was anything that would be obvious just by looking at them to make sure nothing is
wrong.Obviously I checked for cracks etc.
