Not sure about the market in your area but 16,900 seems low to me with the mileage that it has.

Thats way to high for that car. You can find them with around 50k miles for between 12-15 pretty often.. and you can find them and 99's right at 10 if they have 75k+. They do not hold their value worth a damn.
For a 96-98 I wouldnt pay more than 9 low mileage and more than 7 high mileage.. for a 99/01 I wouldnt pay more than 15 unless its under 10,000 miles... the 97 I had I picked up for 7k and sold for 8 after playing with it for a year but it was right at 100k on the odo.

For that price, i would add 2 or 3 thousand and pick up an 03/04 mach 1 or a higher mileage termi. The mach's are a better setup.. better factory gearing, faster 1/4 times, solid rear instead of the IRS.

around here 99-04 gts usually go for around 11-16 depending on the miles. that just goes to show about the areas and the pricing. i will try and talk them down and see how it goes

a lot of those cars are around 5hrs away. that one mach was priced great though. and the cobra coupe i listed will be putting me pretty much at budget.

i remember seeing this car when they first got it. they wanted closer to 25 for it

sometimes you gotta drive to get what you want.. I bought the supercharged vert almost completely built.. picked it up for 8,000. Had to have it shipped from newyork to oklahoma.. I know people who have flown to california to pick up a vette they wanted... 5 hours is nothing if it gets you a better car. lol

I drove my mustang 20 hours home from NY to MS, it was well worth it! I bought it off my uncle so he gave me a good deal!

Good luck finding a mustang!

now is the time to buy. Its the best time of the year, cars are going dirt cheap. you have a 6-8 week window before they start to go back up and up they will go. tax season is around the corner. if you look around you can get an 03 cobra with a hell of alot more patential for only 3-5 grand more. alittle newer car so the bank will loan another year. your payment will be same on both. so why not have the better car. just my 2 cents.
