they make mass air conversions is one option ....they perform okay just not to cam changes that are overly aggressive and not designed for/with speed density in mind.......and or you could purchase a Megasquirt system that is made to tune speed density cars which will allow unlimited choice of mods for tuning to your liking......however the learning curve to operate such a system may not be within your realm of liking so a mass air conversion would be your simpilest solution

god damn... speed density is NOT bad...

on the stock comp, w. out any real effort, you can make about 300 or so hp... because thats what 19lb injectors will support up to..

all u really have to do is watch ur cam choice

tuning is simple enough... timing, fuel pressure, cam timing, and for me, nitrous and fuel jets...

their easy to diag, easy to get a rough tune on your own, and stock for stock... their faster

but ****, put what ever heads, intake u want on it, and be careful of ur cam choice...

well, no dice on the b cam...

mid low 12s...
intake(if u want that one, thats fine)
stock heads
crowner 11551 cam(speed density reacts well to this cam)
3.73 rear(or 4.10 with a 28inch tire... will turn out the same as 3.73s w. stock tires, but will hook a little better)
100-125 shot
some light suspension mods(mainly up front, for weight transfer, rear would be good to, but not mandatory)
and obviously a drag radial, or sticky tire

honesly, that should be high 11/low 12...

Have an '87 that was SD... love the MAF conversion. Cost me $300 in Ebay parts. Wiring tricky.. don't plan on driving too far in the first few days till you get the wiring right. Runs like a champ with a Cobra intke, BBK cold air and a E-303 cam.
