Its nice living in an area with no kind of emissions testing on '95 and older cars.
I just got my car inspected last week with no cats or smog crap.

In California, if a mouse farts in the shop that's doing your smog test, you'll prollyfail on HC [>:]
I used to work on the natural gas engines in the oil fields, they'd mainly run compressors for compressing/pumping natural gas for the refining process, and sometimes for injecting back underground to pressurize wells. Even THOSE engines have to pass emissions every year. They have catylitic converters, the carburetors can't be touched even, if you do mess with them, it becomes an automatic failure for an improper carburetor setting. And all those engines are going to lean burn setups to further reduce emissions, so they are VERY prone to detonation and not wanting to run all the time, and trying to start one back up? [:'(]Good luck. And of course every year that they pass, the state decides to make the restrictions even tighter for the next test. Try doing a tune up on a 5,000 cubic inch turbo charged natural gas engine that burns so lean it's amazing that it even runs
