Where is the thread that has all the Cobra specifics? I saw it once and can find it through the search. I'm trying to see if I have a Cobra 5.0. Thanks.

93 Cobra & 93 Cobra "R" Information

It is a 1990 LX but the used car dealer said that the previous owner put a 94/95 Cobra 5.0 in it. We'll see.

 

That will give you the specs but if you don't know what to look for it may not help much. The intake is the most obvious thing. Also check to see if you have an oil cooler that goes between your block and the oil filter and has a coolant hose going to it. Also if you can see the from of your heads there should be 3 "bars" cast into the metal. I also believe that if you take the valve covers off it says "GT" on the heads. Also the valve covers should have "Cobra" cast into them. There also may be a sticker on the driver side valve cover with a snake on it saying something along the lines of "This motor was assembled in Brook Park, Ohio"

Ya, its not. It had stamp steel rocker arms. There was no oil cooler.

wow, you all getting nevious!?!?!?!? I was just double checking. The dealer also said it had a 9in. wrongo....

 

dude you shoulda looked into this before you bought the car ... dealers are always full of it ... i wouldnt even let them change my oil lol
