i heard that the fabric paint works really well as long as you do it right.
i think your saposed to brush it or something when the paint gets tacky or dry, one of the two.
my friend used it on his seats and the seats got all crusty. then he redid it and was sure to brush it around and they came out like factory seats.

Your best bet is a product called SEM vinyl dye. You could only get it at your local paint shop is the best thing you will ever use. First use simple green and give all your panels a good scrubbin with ared scuff pad also found at a paint store, and scuff the hell out of the panels, thenwith some wax and grease remover. the wax and grease remover works best in a spray bottle. after wipe them down with the spray and some clean rags. Then get a can of adhesion promoter. (bulldog) is what i use the paint and the adhesion promoter both come in either rattle can or out of a paint gun, both work the same. after the panel is dry, spray the panels with 2-3 light coats of adhesion promoter 5 min. apart. After 10 min. start spraying the color coat 3-5 light even coats 8-10 min. apart and you will have a factory looking black interior. yuo can do your door panels and even the carpet and will look perfect. Just remember to take your time and mask the little chrome strip in the armrest. Ive seen some guys interiors andDamn! they look nasty. I did my whole grey interior blackand it looks original. I even did my sunvisors and headliner.

i did my whole interior with this stuff called stone touch. its textured like spatter paint turned out awsome. and i did my steering surround in spatter paint. the rest of the car is stone touch. i fiberglassed the ashtray so its no longer visible, and i dont have an ebrake so i glassed that in too. the stone touch is like 7$ a can i used about 15 cans did every panel, my dash, center console, with about 2-3 coats each peice. wasnt cheap but it def looks good!
