Default AOD Kickdown Adjustment

I need help!!! The kickdown cable came off the throttle linkage(the rubber gromet finally cracked) so my mechanic put a lock washer and it'sre-attached. But now the tranny is not shifting if I leave it in OD. But does shift from a dead stop in D-1,2, & 3. But when you shift it to 4th, it is like it's not in gear. So how do I adjust the kickdown???? Thanks guys!!

you go buy a new part.....meaning the one that broke...you have someone do a half ace repair....you get half ace results...that's just the way it is[&:]

Thanks. It's just a temp job til I find a new cable. The 3 local Ford dealers in Hawaii don't have them and Ford does not make them anymore. So Iam searching for a new one. You have to buy the whole cable to get the new end that connects to the linkage. But, yeah I agree with you, don't like doing things half a@#
