i picked up a 89 gt 5 speed yesterday for 500 bux. Its got 64k on it but its not in great shape. Its pretty rough on the ouside but the interior is great other than a few pieces are taken off and in the back. Its got all the gt moldings and 10 hole rims. The interior is black and grey. The main reason i bought it was because it had a good motor and a decent 5 speed tranny to put in my old car which now has a blown motor. I plan on parting everything but the driveline, rear hatch, front window and seats. So if you need anything let me know. Also where is a good place to get a t5 rebuild kit for a decent price? Ive checked cjponyparts.com and 50resto.com. Since my other car is an auto im gonna do the aod to t5 swap. ill get pics up soon. I never thought id have two rusty muskrats. Oh and the tranny is in the trunk and when i wiggle the input shaft it moves a good bit, what could be the problem?

I would like to buy the manual computer, but sounds like you're gonna be using it
what about your auto comp? I might keep it as a backup or something

91lxstang good find. i saw a 5.0 fox 5spd black lx hatch on craigs for $600 had a good drive train and decient body.. i called the guy the same day it was posted but he had just sold it! [:@] i was pissed..

haha this is funny long stiry short there was a 88 lx 5.0 on craigslist for $200 bucks last nite called him said all kind of people want it i said i ll be there tonite left 11pm got home 400am 200 mile drive a little ugly but good runnin 5.0 w/ 5 speed got it for 300 bucks , cleaned out this morning and found 60 bucks under the shift boot so i paid 240 for it ha ha . score
