Driver Door Adjustment
when i bought the car, the original owner said it had been broke into and had the door repainted and adjusted. Well the adjustment was cheap and not quite right. im a kind of guy where something like that bugs me, so how do i go about adjusting the door. The rear of the door needs to go UP. I tried looking for bolts on the hinges, no find. are they welded in?
Mine are welded in also. You will have to adjust them where they bolt to the body under the fender. From my experience, it seems to be best if you remove the fender to access the bolts properly.
too true. they are located under the fender. u can still access them if u remove the inner fender/splashsheild. have a buddy there to help and a floorjack handy. i would check to make sure u dont need door hinge pins first. open the door and wiggle it up and down. if it moves even in the slightest replace the hinge pins then check the adjustment
what about the actual strikers... my doors have to be slammed to get them to even catch the striker and most of the time the door just bounces off the striker and then i got to push it closed about mid door push it closed and its such a pain in the ***!!
