I agree, it feels more Muscle car ish than the later stang, though the later modle seats were much more comfy
actually i think the 84 85 86 seats are much better they are recaro racing buckets with adjustable side bolsters its so nice

i still have 86 dash and console but 93 door and quarter panels. i have a 140 speedo as well.

thats because your 86 has POS LX seats, see below

i dont know about your 86 but on my 84 the very front of the seat pulls out a little bit for highway driving to support your legs better its a very nice feature when im driving back and forth from nj to mass

ok you got me convinced on the dash, i will kee mine, so now i need the 140 speedo where can i get one for a good price? i realy dont like the stems though for lights, signals, and wipers!

im not 100% sure, but i bet you could get one off ebay. Shop around its amazing what you can find and for how cheap. It was going to cost me 120.88 for a new proportiong valve and i picked one up for 22shipped. Not bad, but install will be like 40 or so. Ive got a broken back so i cant exactly do it myself heh. But that includes them bleeding my breaks etc.

It says Mercury Capri 140 MPH Speedometer but its the same for the 84-86 mustangs

or try ebay, thats where I got mine for $90

I dont have the cool seats in the '86, I have them in the '91 though, the '86 isa LX so it has the crappy uncomfortable chairs...
