100 Octane Low Lead... aviation gas

Not if you have catalytic converters, the lead will destroy them. I'd imagine the lead may foul up your plugs and stuff more over time than with unleaded gas so I'd probably stick with unleaded unless you have no cats and are in a pinch.

If you don't have o/2 sensors or cats....more so it'll fubar your o/2 sensors.......I've run 105 in my 85 a few times but then again I don't have any emission crap on them and they are carb'ed and not efi

Ah, the O2 sensors slipped my mind too.

It will screw up both pretty badthough. I have an older friend who's into the old hot rods and has a '29 Model A with a cammed up 350 in it and he has a gas leak somewhere and always seems to be running out of gas on the road. We were out for a ride and this happened right near the airport I instruct at and he mentioned grabbing some 100LL from one of the hangars and I asked him the same thing (he has longtubes and straight pipes). He told me that the engine will run fine but it will make all the stuff inside your cats disintegrate and either blow out or clog the things up. Sounds like a cheap way to hollow out your cats though .

The question is why would you run it? It's gonna cost more, and unless you have high compression and/or boost, you're not gonna get anything from it other than a big hole in your pocket.
