im looking around, and im thinking about buying a beat up fox body maybe even just a roller depends on what i can find...
and i want to just work on it till the summer i want to do all the work myself...
how much money would i need in order to have a 600rwhp, and around 600 rwtq, this is gona be a car just for the track...
i just want to know about how much will i need to spend just on performance parts, not counting paint interrior and all that..

please let me know so i will decide if this is worth it for me, or even if i can afford it at this time...

because im going to fix my 95 gt and sell it so i will have some money to play with..

 

600hp i'm not sure, probobly a crap load. My first 93 hatch with a hair over 400rwhp including the price of the car, motor and trans, work, suspension, TIRES, and much more i added up about 10k. But i was buying most stuff directly through vendors available to the ford dealer i worked at back then. You can always get a cheap shell, buy a used motor, get some used performance parts. Piece it all together yourself, and still spend a crap load to get 600hp. Good luck.

That much hp will need a **** load of supporting mods. Transmission,axles,rear end,heavy suspension and the list goes on and on. Your best bet is to buy a fox that has already been built. You will come out cheaper in the long run.

 

Figure 15k to do it right and not be breaking shyt.

351W with .03 over bore and twin 60mm turbo and proper heads and cam
will get you there.

what if i just use my 95 gt, fix the body and throw a twin turbo on it and leaving everything else the way it is...

how fast do you want to go? you can run 10 or 11's with 500hp and the right suspension and a race weight of around 3000lbs

 

yes 10 seconds sounds good...

 

Built 302 with good single turbo running 15psi will get you close
and come in close to budget
