Default Ditch the AC?

I am currently in the process of doing a HCI swap and adding a supercharger to the mix. I am getting rid of all the smog crap and have been debating on whether or not to keep the AC. I like the idea of cleaning up the engine bay and saving a little weight as well. I live in Ohio and it can get hot in the summer months. The car is black on black too so that can make it even hotter. Have any of you who removed the AC regretted it? I'm about to just flip a coin on the issue lol. Thanks for the help.

I'm glad i still have it in south florida, when i move to TN next year and start big motor work then my a/c is coming out for sure. I don't mind a being a little hot for a couple months out of the year, i do mind my engine bay being to "busy" with usless crap everywhere. If you're a sally then leave it in, if you want a cleaner underhood look then pull it, you're choice (or just flip the coin you were talking about)

id leave it, really helps the resale value when a car isnt totalled gutted apart and has ac and everything still on it.

My compressor wentand I removed mine. There is no noticeable gain.I do like how the engine bay is a bit neater, easier to work on without hoses everywhere.

I live in PA, it gets about 95 degrees here max and I dont mind not having a/c. Id rather have the windows down anyway.

yea, if your car is anywhere close to stock condition. My car started life as a 4 banger, now 5.0 with 5 lug, and by the time i'm done with it, it will be almost track only hopefully. At that point with all the work done and a cage if anybody that wants to buy it asks if it has aci will laugh and tell them i no longer wish to sell it to them

Or i'll make sure i keep ALL of the ac components in a pile and when they ask i can say yes, all you have to do is put it back on.
