Default Engine turned

how hard is it to "engine turn" a piece of steel, you know, put those like circle marks on it. Iwas thinking of pulling my 5.0 plate off my intake, aside from repainting the lettering, cuz it looks like crap, but engine turning it to give it pizazz...

what do you all think? I'm gonna be with the stock intake for a good while...so I want to do some custom work. when I am home next week I am gonna detail the engine bay

I just did that on my motorcyle....it is pretty easy if you have a mill to do it in. The hard part is to keep them consistant to look good.

You should just polish it instead, turning it might look funny since there isn't a lot of surface.

Thanks, polishing it may be easier,I just want it to stand out a bit from the dull gray of the intake manifold. I'm definetly gonna clean it up and armor all the plastics, to make them shine, I want that 302 looking purty, until I build that 347 after I graduate college

I know, the paint is good on the manifold itself, just a lil bland, and if I start taking it apart to paint it, I'm gonna wanna mod it I'm already thinking about doing a 3G swap, springs and ultra clear headlights... and ditching that crappy side exhaust for an Slp loudmouth catback system[8D][8D]

If I can snag a Gt40 tubular intake at spring carisle, I'll Mother's polish and buff ball that thing till I can signal to aircraft with it
