window tinting
where do you buy window tint? i'm going to attempt my own and maybe make some money off doing my friends cars too.
i have two cars i want to do of my own and my mom wants her done. so i think i could do all the cars for less than 300 bucks and i could do a couple of my friends cars too and charge them about 100 bucks or so to do it plus materials.

May not be worth the hassles. Unless you've done it before or have a friend that has and can walk you through it (hands on) I wouldn't attempt it. Most places these days have a machine that precuts all the pieces for them. While your install may look good now, summer time is the real test with heat and/or humidity. Most first timers will get bubbles or peeling.
If you still want to do it yourself, get the type that is metalized (sp?)meaning it has some metallic compound added to the tint. It is resistent to fading and reflects UV better. The down side is that if you have a radar detector, GPS or Satellite radio, you may get some interference unless you move the devices around.

i bought it all at autozone. i did my truck w/ 5% limo tint. it came out really good too. i got a lot of compliments. but you need to take your time and it ended up taking me a heck of a lot longer than i thought it would. but FOLLOW the directions. use the soapy water mix in a spray bottle andi also go the aplicator kit (comes w/ straight edge an shuff) well i stole it haha but w/e.. also it will be good to get a NEW plastic plaster scraper. so there isnt n e thing on there that could scratch/rip the tint. and TAKE YOUR TIME. and make sure you cut everything properly
ya it can be removed. its just plastic that sticks to the windows. the cheap DIY stuff is much easier to take off tho. i had to take it off my truck for inspection. just took a razor blade and pealed right off. then you might want to use a glue solvent on the window so you can tint it again. (i never did tho)
